ClarkDietrich’s ProChannel Ci™ Meets Fire-Rating Compliance
ClarkDietrich, a Steel Framing Industry Association (SFIA) member, now offers ProChannel Ci™ for projects requiring fire-tested, code-compliant façade assemblies. A third-party review by Priest & Associates Consulting confirmed that the ProChannel Ci cladding support system meets NFPA 285 testing standards. The system is approved for use in NFPA 285-compliant wall assemblies for Types I–IV construction.

ClarkDietrich now offers ProChannel Ci™ for projects requiring fire-tested, code-compliant façade assemblies.
Test engineers incorporated ProChannel Ci into a full-scale NFPA 285 test with combustible insulation and Nichiha fiber-cement panels. The assembly met all flame-propagation limits. Both ProChannel Ci and ProChannel Ci Vertical systems achieved compliance.
ProChannel Ci with Grip-Deck TubeSeal® delivers continuous insulation with strong thermal performance. It also provides tested structural capacity and proven air and water resistance. The system now adds verified NFPA 285 compliance.

CEMCO Updates ProX Header Evaluation Report
CEMCO, a Steel Framing Industry Association (SFIA) member, has updated the IAPMO evaluation report for its ProX Header®. The new UER-286 report confirms that the ProX Header meets the 2021 and 2024 IBC as well as the 2022 CBC. The updated report provides the latest third-party verification for this cold-formed steel (CFS) header.
The ProX Header header is engineered to support horizontal and vertical loads. Contractors can use it as a one- or two-piece system in place of traditional four- or five-piece built-up stud-and-track headers. The header works in interior and exterior walls and fits door and window openings, HVAC penetrations and other framed openings where consistent strength and installation efficiency are required.
CEMCO manufactures the ProX Header in 20, 18, 16, and 14 gauge galvanized steel that meets ASTM performance criteria for metal framing. Installers fasten the members with No. 8 screws for interior use or No. 10 screws for exterior conditions. The system uses internal ProX Header Clips that connect horizontally to vertical framing, creating a smooth substrate for drywall and finishing crews.

Scottsdale Construction Systems Introduces Next-Gen Roll Forming Machine
Steel Framing Industry Association (SFIA) member Scottsdale Construction Systems has introduced the KFS Framemaker 1420G3. The roll former produces lipped and unlipped channel sections for cold-formed steel (CFS) framing and meets AISI S100, CSA 136, EN 1993-1-3, and AS/NZ 4600 profile requirements.

Scottsdale Construction Systems’ new KFS Framemaker 1420G3 roll former produces lipped and unlipped channel sections for cold-formed (CFS) framing.
The 1420G3 fabricates Cee-sections and U-sections from 3.5 to 12 inches deep and 1.63 to 3 inches wide. It uses an automated servo-controlled roller adjustment to speed up setup and operates faster than the previous G2 model.
The machine also uses an ecoDecoiler with gravity-feed technology to reduce energy use. These updates give fabricators quicker changeovers, higher throughput and consistent CFS member production.
