The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute’s 2025 CFSEI Expo organizers are soliciting abstracts for presentation at the conference, which will be held May 19-21, 2025 at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley Hotel, Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition to the Expo, presenters can request to be part of the CFSEI’s new Emerging Technologies Forum.

Why Present at CFSEI Expo?
The CFSEI Expo provides a valuable platform for networking with industry experts and exchanging knowledge on cold-formed steel framing (CFS) design and engineering. Expo speakers share knowledge and have an opportunity to influence and transform the future of the CFS industry.
The 2025 CFSEI Expo presented by the Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI) is designed for architects, builders/contractors and engineers, with an educational program geared toward both skilled CFS framing professionals as well as newcomers.
The CFSEI Expo will also provide opportunities for networking as well as an exposition featuring state-of-the-art innovations, new technologies and best practices for CFS framing. This Expo is the only one of its kind dedicated to the CFS framing industry and will offer over 10 continuing education credits.
New for 2025: CFSEI Emerging Technologies Forum
The 2025 CFSEI Expo introduces the Emerging Technologies Forum (Monday, May 19). The event will cover product innovations and cutting-edge research in 25-minute sessions. CFSEI is looking for speakers to present topics such as:
- New software
- New product development
- Innovative construction methods
- Groundbreaking research

Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute
The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI) comprises hundreds of structural engineers and other design professionals who are finding a better way to produce safe and efficient designs for commercial and residential structures with cold-formed steel.
CFSEI members work together to develop and evolve industry standards and design methods, produce and issue technical bulletins, and provide seminars and online training to improve the knowledge and skills base of engineers and design professionals.
CFSEI is part of the Steel Framing Industry Association (SFIA), where its leadership as the industry’s key touchpoint for CFS design receives full support.
