SFIA member ClarkDietrich has launched SilentXpress™, a new field-assembled sound isolation system. The system creates narrow double-stud (chase wall) assemblies. SilentXpress provides tested and published sound and fire-rated assemblies in a narrower footprint than a traditional chase wall.
The system uses proprietary Type CWSC connectors with ProSTUD® framing to connect adjacent studs under a single track. This configuration reduces sound transmission. The connectors are available in two sizes for a range of project types:
- 3-5/8″ for wall assemblies
- 6″ for wall assemblies

Because SilentXpress is field-assembled with clips and ProSTUD framing, the system is easily adaptable to real jobsite conditions and provides more flexibility. This can help streamline delivery schedules and minimize potential project delays. Because the SilentXpress components ship compactly in boxes, the system is logistically easier and more cost-effective from the start.
