Worthington Steel, an SFIA member, announced that it has earned the 2026 Military Friendly® Employer Gold designation. Now in its 22nd year, the Military Friendly program continues to set the standard for organizations that demonstrate lasting commitment and measurable impact in supporting the military community through meaningful career, education and entrepreneurial opportunities.
“Supporting those who’ve served has always been important to us,” said Geoff Gilmore, president and CEO of Worthington Steel. “Since the company was founded 70 years ago, we’ve valued the character, leadership and work ethic that veterans bring.
Long-Standing Commitment to Veterans
The company joins a select group of more than 300 employers recognized from over 1,200 participating companies. Manufacturers once again had a strong presence, representing 9% of all Military Friendly designated employers.
“Earning Military Friendly Employer designation for the 11th consecutive year builds on that proud history and reflects our continued commitment to helping service members build rewarding civilian careers here at Worthington Steel,” said Gilmore.
Strengthening Career Pathways for Service Members
Worthington Steel supports its military community through a range of programs, from focused recruitment and onboarding resources to an internal veterans’ network that fosters belonging and connection across the organization.
Worthington Steel will be featured as a 2026 Military Friendly Employer in the winter issue of G.I. Jobs® magazine and on MilitaryFriendly.com.
