Tribal Communities to Launch Steel Frame Manufacturing Businesses

Steel framing is at the center of the Sustainable Economic Development Program initiated for Native American Tribes & Reservations.

Topics

DreamWeaver Homes™ is a Public Benefit Corporation (“B” Corp.) that offers tribal communities a business platform for producing steel-framed homes.

The platform allows each tribe or reservation to set up a steel-frame manufacturing facility or facilities to produce the homes in a sustainable way.

“The licensed, qualified and strategically located companies, operate under the DreamWeaver Homes name,” says DreamWeaverHomes.biz. “This results in a single, nationwide brand for identification and marketing purposes while also allowing each the autonomy created by their owning the businesses.”

Thus, each tribe or reservation can produce homes to be sold directly to developers, dealers and others, as well as the Tribe’s own housing authority.

Dreamweaver Home Steel Framing

DreamWeaver produces precision manufactured homes with an estimated 9.8% savings over wood framing.

Steel Framing Provides Savings Over Wood

According to Techtoday, the factory will be guided by DreamWeaver to produce precision manufactured homes and structures that are environmentally “clean”, superior in strength and quality, with a sustainable lifetime far greater than any other form of construction.

  • The steel framework represents an estimated 9.8% savings over wood framing
  • The homes use steel siding and roofing that is rated as noncombustible and is arguably one of the best materials to use on the exterior of a structure
Dreamweaver Process

With the DreamWeaver Homes proprietary CAD/CAM platform every structural part required for the project is precision manufactured. All the parts are formed and notated for rapid assembly in a weatherproof factory environment.

Replacements for Homes Destroyed by Hurricanes

DreamWeaver Homes has identified a Gulf Coast location for the expansion of their CFS precision factory manufactured housing business, says Silicon Valley Live News.

In 2020, a record hurricane season left the Gulf Coast battered by 30 named storms. Hurricane Laura left at least 28 people dead, 10,000 homes demolished, and more than 130,000 homes damaged. DreamWeaver Homes provides housing capable of withstanding sustained 150 mph winds.

“This factory will enable us to quickly and efficiently build superior homes that will be cost competitive and last for decades,” says Tim Waite, DreamWeaver Homes vice president of engineering.

The factory will be fully operational by December 2021 and employ over 300 factory workers by the end of fiscal year three, Silicon Valley Live News says.
