Veev, a panelized building technology innovator and an SFIA member is set to begin building a new residential community in Northern California after Lennar, one of the nation’s leading homebuilders, committed to the project “as a follow-on to Lennar’s investment in Veev’s $200-million financing rounds,” a Veev news release said.

The new 102-house community, to be built in Northern California in the coming months, will use Veev’s vertically integrated end-to-end panelized building technology that optimizes every element of the living experience.

The residential community , comprising houses created entirely with Veev’s patented and productized approach to design and construction, will be the biggest to date, according to Construction Review Online.

What is Veev Technology?

Veev’s technology-driven approach to classic homebuilding difficulties focuses on simplifying design, material selection, modular prefabrication and technological processes in order to construct homes up to 4 times faster than the industry standard.

Veev creates entire wall systems that integrate plumbing, electrical, and technological components that can be swiftly erected on-site by small crews.

Veev also incorporates technology throughout the home as part of the construction process, resulting in a totally digital home from the start.

Steel Framing Speeds Home Construction 4x

Veev, a pioneer in vertically integrated end-to-end panelized building technology and SFIA member, made a decision in 2019 to eliminate lumber from the homes it built. The firm replaced wood with steel framing and slabs made of a mix of acrylic and minerals that bind together, says Yahoo Finance. By using this process, Veev can deliver homes up to 4 times faster than the industry standard.

In addition, building with steel results in near-zero waste framing and a low carbon footprint, says Veev.com.

“Veev is not the only company using a factory to make buildings, but with a uniquely integrated approach that pulls design, material supply chain, manufacturing, and construction in-house, it’s carving a niche of pure efficiency,” says Fast Company.

Since 2019, Veev has completed 138 residential units and is currently developing 231 residential units, of which 86 are single-family homes.

Veev Provides Sustainable Alternative to Traditional Building

ENX provides hands-on mentorship and assistance from Lennar’s senior management team, as well as a major opportunity to bring goods and technologies to Lennar customers, allowing portfolio firms to develop at an unparalleled rate.

“As Lennar explores exciting new technologies and approaches to home construction, Veev’s integrated solution allows homebuyers to enjoy state-of-the-art features and cutting-edge design,” Eric Feder, President of LENX, said. “Lennar and Veev share a passion for innovation, and we are excited to collaborate on this first community and in the years to come as we embrace sustainable, high-quality and effective alternatives to traditional construction.”

“Working with Lennar to deliver these new homes is an important proof of our ability to scale our technology and manufacturing to meet the needs of large national homebuilders,” said Amit Haller, Veev co-founder and CEO. “We are eager to introduce our panelized approach to design and construction to Lennar homebuyers very soon.”
