Job Description: As the Plant Manager at Ironline Metals in Yemassee, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of plant operations. You will play a key role in driving production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, ensuring safety protocols, and fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in metal manufacturing, a proven track record of effective leadership, and a commitment to achieving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership:
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
2. Safety and Compliance:
• Enforce and uphold strict safety standards, ensuring a secure working environment for all employees.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
3. Team Management:
• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing production team.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, promoting employee engagement and professional development.
4. Quality Assurance:
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to guarantee the production of superior metal products.
• Continuously assess and improve quality processes and standards.
5. Inventory Management:
• Oversee inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess.
6. Cost Management:
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize production costs and enhance overall plant profitability.
7. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and technological advancements.
• Implement initiatives to enhance overall plant efficiency and competitiveness.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in plant management within the metal manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
