Registration is now open for the 25th Wei-Wen Yu International Specialty Conference on Cold-Formed Steel Structures. The conference brings together scientists, researchers, educators and engineers from around the world engaged in cold-formed steel (CFS) structures research, design and construction. The event will take place October 6–7, 2026, at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.

The Wei-Wen Yu International Specialty Conference on Cold-Formed Steel Structures is designed to bring together leading scientists, researchers, educators and engineers who have been engaged in the field of research and design of CFS structures for discussion of recent research findings and design considerations.

CFS Specialty Conference History
Under the direction of Dr. Hannah Blum, the conference is a continuation of the 24 previous international conferences sponsored by the former Wei-Wen Yu Center for Cold-Formed Steel Structures.
Past CFS specialty conferences have been leading international research forums. These conferences featured dozens of technical presentations and attracted hundreds of participants from around the world. Organizers emphasized global collaboration and recognized student excellence through research and awards presentations. The conference legacy strengthens international partnerships and advances innovation in CFS framing research.
