C. J. Coakley Co., Inc. is a full-service interior contractor installing metal studs, drywall, acoustic ceilings, a full range of plaster products, and many other interior and exterior finishes. C. J. Coakley Co., Inc. is one of the largest drywall companies in the Washington DC metro area and installs more than eight million square feet of wallboard annually. Our goal is to install products with the highest quality at a competitive price.
We are a well-rounded company that regularly performs work in commercial, residential, and government construction. We have an impressive portfolio of work that encompasses every conceivable type of construction including apartments, office buildings, computer facilities, embassies, government buildings, hotels, hospitals, military installations, museums, performing arts centers, restaurants, and educational facilities.
We are a family owned business. Cornelius J. Coakley started the company in 1962 and his infectious passion for construction was not only passed on to his wife and children, but to many of the employees in our office and field. We have employees with anywhere from 45 years experience to folks hired this week. Our office staff combined have more than 350 years of construction experience.
We have worked for many of the largest general contractors in the area. Our clients include Balfour Beatty, Clark, Davis, Turner, Gilbane, Grunley, Hitt, Sigal, Skanska, and Whiting-Turner. We have been fortunate to work with many of these contractors on some of the finest projects in the DC area.
