The American Iron and Steel Institute has published Supplement No. 3 to AISI S100-16 (Reaffirmed 2020), North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members, 2022 Edition.

The North American Specification harmonizes cold-formed steel (CFS) design technology across the United States, Canada and Mexico, allowing for faster introduction of new technologies as well as opening up the market for a variety of derivative products such as design aids and educational materials.

Supplement No. 3 includes changes and additions approved by AISI’s Committee on Specifications since 2016, including those changes published in Supplements 1 and 2.

Significant updates are made in Chapters E through J.  A detailed list of changes can be found in the Preface.

Supplement No. 3 can be downloaded free of charge at www.aisistandards.org in the section titled “AISI Standards 2020-22 Editions” as:

  1. Stand-alone document
  2. Incorporated into the 2016 edition of the North American Specification
