The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI), a national organization comprised of structural engineers and other design professionals, is accepting nominations for the 2024 CFSEI Awards Program.
Each year, CFSEI recognizes engineering projects that exemplify design excellence and innovative design. The award program also recognizes individuals whose contributions have made an exceptional impact on advancing CFS in the marketplace.
Nominations are accepted until February 23, 2024 and winners will be announced at the 2024 CFSEI Expo in Tucson, Arizona.
Categories
- Design Excellence (Category I): Projects that exemplify excellence in the structural design of new or renovated structures utilizing CFS products for exterior or interior applications. Awards may be given in multiple categories, at the discretion of the Awards Committee, depending on the total number of projects submitted
- Creative Design (Category II): Any exterior or interior cold-formed steel framing detail, assembly, or framing element that exemplifies creativity or ingenuity to solve a design challenge. Awards may be given in multiple categories at the discretion of the Awards Committee, depending on the total number of entries submitted
- Distinguished Service (Category III): This Award will acknowledge the contributions of an individual who has volunteered their time, talent, and resources to the CFS industry. The John P. Matsen Award for Distinguished Service will be given at the discretion of the CFSEI Executive Committee. It will only be given when the Executive Committee has determined that a nominee exhibits exceptional qualifications in meeting the Award judging criteria, maintaining the past standards winners have set.
